This fellow expects to be noticed wherever he goes. He is
very attractive to women and knows it. When he walks into a room women
are aware of him, and other men look at him with envy. Leo is definitely an extrovert-expansive, generous, outgoing. He loves to laugh. He is not a big-mouth or a phony, but occasionally he can be a bully. He revels in luxury and thinks the best of everything is none too good for him. That usually works out well, for if it belongs to him he think sit is the very best. He will brook no argument about that. Halfway measures are not for him. When he goes into a fight, it is likely to become a grand and glorious battle. When there's romance, it has to shoot sparks-or more likely become a bonfire! He will gamble with life, with love, and with money. He never considers it reckless to go against the odds, for he feels it is his destiny to win. Men like him because, while he plays the big shot, he is always willing to pick up the check. Women like him because he is the masterful, fiery, intense. He is demonstrative, open-handed, and a valuable friend. If need arises, he will take great risks, endure great dangers to guard the safety of those dear to him. Invariably
genial, he is usually quite popular. Even those who find his ego hard
to live with at close quarters have nothing personal against him.
They like him-from a safe distance. He is always falling in or out of love. Romance is not a word to him, it is a way of life. He is only happy when regally wining and dining with a lovely adoring feminine creature. And sooner or later he will find one whose admiration he cannot do without-and marry her. There are not many bachelors under this sign, and alas, their judgment about women is not always the best. Although he expresses a royal contempt for women of loose virtue, he is easily victimized by exactly this type. They know how to play on this central weakness-his vanity. His work is often careless, but he is very good at covering up. Sometimes he will disguise a hasty and impulsive job with the frills and decorative touches at which he excels. If he can't, he will excuse himself by saying he has not patience with details or that such chores belong to lesser people. Somehow he'll manage to get across the idea that others have failed him. After a while, this can exasperate his cowokers, but Leo doesn't worry too much about the feelings of others. Although he can be creative in business, it is usually not in a deep or meaningful way. He is a showman, a producer, who seeks always for the flashy superficial effect. That is enough to satisfy him. He becomes angry when he doesn't get his own way, and he doesn't even like to hear contrary opinions. That last-ditched Congressional defender of Richard Nixon who proclaimed, "My mind is closed on this matter-don't confuse me with the facts," was expressing a belligerence that is typical of Leo. If all does not go well, he tends to sulk. You have to be very careful not to provoke him at such times. However, he doesn't languish long in a depression. There are too many challenges out there waiting to be met and conquered by the King of the jungle. Leo is jealous. Although he dwells on the mountaintop, he is afraid of being dragged down into the valley of competition with lesser mortals. If you
have a lover or husband born under this sign, beware-but beware!-of
making him jealous. He can react physically. He is the kind who will
beat up a man who flirts with his woman-then beats her up when he
gets her home.
