Their first entrance into a room is meant to make everyone
else seem dim shadowy figures. So be properly impressed. Leo needs
to be in the spotlight, recognized as unique and superior. Give them
every possible change to shine. Let them know that you have never
met anyone like them. Don't ever crowd Leo off center stage. Always allow room for them to display their regal splendor. It helps if you are dependent or can suggest subtly that your happiness, even your life, is subject to their royal whim. Overdoing it? With anyone else, perhaps. Never with Leo. Leo accepts this as confirmation of a simple fact. If this sort of behavior makes you feel foolish, then refine it to where you can live with it. But never withhold appreciation or flattery. Leo can't live without it. If you have an argument in which you know you're right and can't give in, there is a court of last resort. Appeal to Leo's sense of humor. They really love to laugh, although the laugh can never be on them. Leo appreciates the arts, theater, and literature, and also likes to be where the excitement is, so don't pass up the opening of an art gallery, a movie or play premiere, or a fashionable literary cocktail party. The best way to get a ticket is through a charitable organization sponsoring such events. For a contribution (not as much as you'd think) you get a prized ducat. The contribution is tax deductible, and your Leo will be impressed. On dates, don't count pennies. If you're courting a Leo woman, don't even look in your wallet. She admires extravagance and agrees that the best is hardly good enough for her. Don't show up at her door with a beat-up Volkswagen. She prefers flashy cars. In fact, she has a weakness for luxury, for ostentatious display, and a deep-down unspoken conviction that she belongs in High Society. If you're thinking of giving a gift, make it splashy. Give her something in which to make a dramatic entrance. A fox boa or a long sweeping red velvet cape. Her favorite jewel is the ruby. If
you're wooing a Leo man, give perfectly appointed dinners in which
he is treated as the guest of honor-the stellar attraction of the
evening. You can't afford it? Then take him to visit friends where
he will be appreciated and praised. Steer the conversation around
to him and his achievements. That's all Leo really wants, and it doesn't
have to cost a lot.
