He is always in transit-from one place to another, one person
to another, one vocation to another. Restless, nervous, he is not
content to live one day at a time, but will try to compress a week
or a month into a day and to live on several different levels at once.
He can't stand schedules. Don't ask him to have all his meals at set hours or even to maintain regular hours for going to sleep or waking. He won't be a prisoner to the clock. He is usually intelligent and has a clever gift of gab. And how he loves to talk! He will juggle several topics, keeping them all in the air at the same time. Don't try to win a verbal battle with him. He is highly articulate, and words are weapons he can wield with devastating effect. A strange restlessness is evident even in his conversation, for he jumps from topic to topic like Eliza crossing the ice. He is free flowing, spontaneous, and highly volatile. This gives an impression of electric magnetism rather than lack of control, because what he is saying sparkles with a special glitter and radiance. He is a fascinating, many-sided, intellectual man, constantly and almost painfully aware of how people react to him. His enthusiasm results in his tackling too many enterprises and spreading himself too thin. He will display great initiative in launching a project. The problem is to keep him on course. All too often, quick-witted Gemini is left behind by plodding, less imaginative competitors, for he is notoriously the da Vinci of dilettantes. He doesn't react well to failure. He is all too eager to blame himself, to trigger depressed emotions in which the failure confirms his secret feelings of inadequacy. However, these moods don't last long. Some new interest comes along to intrigue him and sends his emotional chart zooming upward again. He's interested in games, hobbies, all manner of diversion. He loves to travel, in order, as one Gemini male put it, "too see sights these eyes have never seen before." He is a hard worker, but only for a short stretch. And he does best at any kind of work that presents a stimulating mental challenge. He needs frequent intervals, vacations, breaks in routine. Fundamentally, he is much more interested in hobbies and recreation that in work of any kind. He loves being in love and will try to take it wherever he can find it. But he also seeks his freedom and will not submerge his ego to please any woman. He is also easily bored by routine, and when subjected to it is likely to become hostile and seek out quarrels. He always must establish his intellectual superiority. If a woman accepts this too easily, he will be frustrated. There has to be some resistance, some protest or struggle, before he is satisfied with his victory. His biggest problem: making up his mind. Because he finds it difficult to stick to one course or to pursue anything to a conclusion, he is accused of being fickle and contradictory. Once the main thrust of a challenge has been met, he immediately begins looking for something new, different-just over the horizon… That's
also true of his behavior in the business world. Usually, he will
be regarded as the brightest of executives, a truly brilliant idea
man, well qualified to find his place at the top. He has difficulty holding on to money. Possessions slip through his grasp. When he as too much money in the bank, he is uncomfortable and tries to discover a reason to rid himself of it. He finds security only in insecurity. Many people think he has captured the spirit of youth, with its endless vitality and curiosity, its love of fun and partying, even of movies and TV. He is called the Peter Pan of the zodiac because he never seems to grow up. Women
are not the most important thing in his life-although he gets more
than his share. Often known as a chaser, it is not because he is oversexed
but simply because he loves to sample new wares. At the beginning
of an affair he is marvelous, everything a woman could ask for, but
his emotional charge is soon spent-and will probably need recharging
by some one new and different. His emotions are often shallow. The
future with his is uncertain; the present is undeniably fun.
