Capricorn Likes

Capricorns are work-oriented and ambitious. You may find them in adult classes at the local university or browsing through the self-help bookshelf at the library. Being great do-gooders, they are usually embroiled in the service of various causes and organizations. An excellent way to get to know them is to become involved in such organizations and to work side by side with them.
However, they are shrewd and can readily discern when a person is sincere or merely acting out of an ulterior motive. They also know the difference between a sincere compliment and a smooth line. Don't write too-flowery letters or make overly impassioned protestations of love. That will succeed in getting you labeled as "phony."

Capricorns are interested in the arts and theater and are drawn to people who are intellectually stimulating. Discuss books, painting, music, politics-but it's well to bone up beforehand so you'll have something interesting to say. Never adopt as your own an opinion or attitude that you really don't subscribe to. Capricorn is quick to spot a pretender. On the other hand, Capricorn loves to play the role of professor. If you think Winslow Homer is a third baseman for the Cleveland Indians, confess your ignorance-and let Capricorn teach you.

At a social gathering, Capricorn is usually in the background taking it all in. He probably isn't the most stimulating date you've ever known. The wit isn't going to sparkle like champagne, and if you whip up a frothy conversation it's likely to lie there is soggy pudding. He is more likely to open up when you discuss serious topics-the news of the world and, especially finances. He keeps up with what is going on and expects that you do. If so, you won't have any trouble keeping his attention and, in the end, capturing his interest.
They are very aware of money values and try to collect things that have lasting value. You can please her (naturally!) with an expensive diamond ring, but she will also be happy with a much less costly but lovely antique ring that will increase in value as years go by.

The male Capricorn will be grateful for a set of distinctive cufflinks, a rare book, or an original painting-especially if the artist shows promise. Someday, it may be a masterpiece!
One tip: Capricorns are fond of their families. If you're trying to impress her by buying first-night tickets to a show, invest your money instead in three tickets later in the week-and take her mother along. You'll be like in Flynn, guaranteed.

They like to dine well and in classy surroundings. If you're going to ply her with champagne, get a good brand. If you're making dinner at home, don't break out the peanut butter and jelly. Plan a meal that will look as good as it tastes. Candlelight and a really good wine will enhance the occasion. Male Capricorn is impressed by a woman who knows her way around a kitchen. And he loves being catered too.

The final setting for love should be a place that looks elegantly furnished and luxurious-even if it isn't really. Capricorn's don't like anything cheap or squalid. For them it's got to be first class all the way!
